John succeeds Paul Wyse, who led the professional services team in Ireland since 2003. Paul has been instrumental in the growth of the firm and in supporting the merger that brought Tilney together with Smith & Williamson. He will continue to head up the firm’s Advisory team in Dublin and, as part of the senior management team, he will support the firm’s continuous growth strategy. Paul will continue his directorship roles with the group’s Irish subsidiary companies and Smith & Williamson Fund Administration Limited.
John’s appointment follows the recent appointment of Fiona Sweeney as Chief Executive Officer of Smith & Williamson Investment Management (Europe) Limited (SWE), the Dublin based subsidiary of Tilney Smith & Williamson, which is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland, and acts as the group’s European hub of operations, allowing it to provide practical, effective investment solutions and financial advice to clients in Ireland.
