Portsmouth business breakfast

Date - 17 October 2018

Time - 7:30 - 9:00

Venue - Portsmouth Marriott Hotel, Southampton Road, PO6 4SH

Matters are not always what they seem. At our autumn business breakfast club we will look behind the curtain for the real story. We will present the results of our Scale Up business Dream Bigger survey, look at what’s really happening with the local South Coast property market trends and explore why audit firms are currently making the headlines for the wrong reasons.

Event programme

07:30 - 08:00 - Registration and full English breakfast

08:00 - 09:00 - Dream Bigger – the next stop on our Scale Up journey

Jamie Lane, Audit and Transaction Services

With a continued commitment to Scale Up businesses across the South, Jamie will provide some local insight to the results of our Dream Bigger survey, encompassing the survey results of 500 SME’s and 500 Scale Ups. He will outline how our benchmarking and diagnostic tools could help you and your business.

Property market trends

Mike Greenwood, Regional Managing Partner, Vail Williams LLP

Mike will provide an overview of the property market focussing on current trends in supply and demand in the occupational market. He will also highlight current trends and key transactions in the investment markets across the region.

Audit in the media - what’s the real new

Chris Appleton, Senior Partner, Assurance and Business Services

Suddenly everyone is interested in audit! From Parliament to regulators, in the press and in the pub; the value and frailty of audit is a hot topic. Chris will look at what we do, what we want and what can reasonably be expected from the audit process. He will also cover where does it tend to go wrong. This session will deal with the headlines, the by-lines and the dotted lines.
