We are delighted to welcome Jelena Griscenko from the Irish Charities Regulator who will give an overview of the Governance Code, what the Regulator will be looking at and how it expects Charities to report going forward.
In 2018 the Irish Charity Regulator launched the Governance Code with the aim of encouraging Charities to put in place systems and processes to ensure that a charity achieves its charitable objectives with integrity and is managed in an effective, efficient, accountable and transparent way. Three years on, and for the first time, Charities are now expected to report on the Governance Code. In this one hour focused trustee training webinar we will look at:
- The current requirements faced by trustees and the proposed format for reporting on governance within the new Governance Code
- Governance from an accounting and audit perspective
- Governance from an investment perspective i.e. our approach to responsible investment
Damien Kealy will then speak about governance from an accounting and audit perspective.
Rebecca Shepherd, our in-house ESG specialist, will then look at the practical ways we look at governance in companies that we invest in and the importance of reporting and voting. Next, we will have Daniel Casali, our Chief Investment Strategist giving his view on current markets and what to look for going forward. The session will end with plenty of time for Q&A.
Who should attend?
