The second stage of economic measures

Breakfast Club Invite Jul20 1920X1080

Has the Chancellor gone far enough? We all appreciate the help being provided by the Government to stem the tide of increasing business closures and rising unemployment figures. However, with the end of furlough on the horizon many companies are already reviewing costs and making redundancies. The 15% temporary drop in VAT for certain sectors and the 50% off food vouchers may help the country start spending, but will it be enough to help the businesses stay afloat and retain more staff?

Smith & Williamson will be hosting its second online panel discussion to discuss financial and topical issues arising on redundancies including the top 5 areas of redundancies that tend to cause most problems. We will also discuss the financial measures to boost the economy through a snappy debate by our panellists, which will include Jon Hales, Regional Managing Partner, from Womble Bond Dickinson solicitors in the South to highlight some of the legal issues on staff reductions.

Please submit any questions you may have for the panel in advance, although they will also take questions on the day.
