S&W Sessions are a regular series of thought provoking hot topic webinars that are relevant to your business. Below is a recording of the next in our series where we will look at DAC6

The EU introduced a new Directive, DAC6, which came into force on 25 June 2018 and requires Member States to automatically exchange information on cross-border arrangements. The rules specifically require intermediaries and in some cases taxpayers to report cross-border arrangements that fall within specific Hallmarks.

The rules require a retrospective exercise from 25 June 2018 to identify any reportable arrangements and report them by 31 August 2020. A 30-day reporting requirement comes into force on 1 July 2020. The reporting deadlines are fast approaching and therefore we recommend businesses act now to ensure they are compliant and mitigate any potential penalties for non-compliance. The webinar features James Marshall from HMRC who will be providing an update.

This webinar covers the following:

  • An overview of the final UK DAC6 regulations and clarifications provided in the draft HMRC guidance
  • Key challenges common themes across the industry
  • Practical considerations to compliance with the rules
  • Update from HMRC
  • Tracking and reporting tool
  • Q&A
