Tom Warner, a private client tax manager in Smith & Williamson’s Salisbury office, has been presented with the annual 'Mal Mahoon - Tax Staff of the Year’ Award at the firm’s annual tax conference.
The award recognises outstanding personal contribution by staff who go 'the extra mile'. Contributions include outstanding team and client work, excellent presentation skills and a positive approach to overcoming challenges.
As part of Tom’s prize he was able to donate £500 to a charity of his choice and he chose the Stars Appeal at Salisbury District Hospital. “I was so overwhelmed to win the Mal Mahoon Tax Employee of the Year Award and genuinely didn’t expect it. As part of my award I was asked if I would like the firm to gift a sum of money to a charity on my behalf. I chose the Stars Appeal as it supports a cause very close to my heart. The hospital’s previous campaign, Ace of Hearts, helped a relative around 15 years ago. The Stars Appeal does such great work in the local area and I was very happy to donate to this cause.”
The winner is chosen by a panel from Smith & Williamson’s tax practice and based on nominations from across the tax team.
