Smith & Williamson has launched a new transactions business stream, bringing together corporate finance, transactions services and valuations to better serve clients.
The new unit will be led by John Rugman, who has over 20 years of transactional experience, providing services to investment banks, major listed companies, private equity houses, private companies and UK and overseas governments.
John said: “This is an exciting moment for our transactions business at Smith & Williamson, and this new structure will create a team of scale, reach and capability, with over 50 members of staff stretching from London to Southampton, Bristol, Birmingham and Dublin. The forming of the new business stream will mean our transactions professionals can work together more efficiently, and in a more specialised way, delivering greater value and providing greater insight to our clients.”
The new unit will create a powerful and comprehensive offering, allowing clients access to a range of advice and services from the team including M&A, finance raising, strategic advisory, transaction support, valuations, financial and tax due diligence, vendor due diligence, vendor assist, financial modelling and reporting accountant services.
