Smith & Williamson’s Guildford office expands investment team

Smith & Williamson has announced the appointment of Jules Porter as a director in its Guildford office’s investment management team.

Jules joins from Investec and has worked in the industry for 25 years. He specialises in discretionary investment management for individuals, families and family trusts, as well as charities. Jules’s main area of expertise is constructing and managing bespoke portfolios and he works closely with clients to help them achieve their financial objectives over the long term.

Maggie Lowe, head of Smith & Williamson’s Guildford office said: “We are delighted that Jules has joined our growing investment team. He brings vast experience and expertise to the office and his approach to looking after clients, and their wealth, is very much in tune with ours.”

Based in the centre of Guildford, the investment management team works alongside specialists in pensions, personal financial planning, tax and accountancy. Clients of the office include individuals, businesses, trusts and charities.
