It’s official – Bristol-based associate director Steve Ashworth is a “food and drink hero.”

Steve, who works in our employment tax and incentives team, received the accolade at the Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards 2018, held at Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton.

He received his “Food and Drink Hero of the Year” award from Simon Parkin of BBC Radio Somerset in recognition of his tireless work, both inside and outside working hours, in support of food and drink business across the county.

This includes working with some of the leading names in the sector as an adviser and a range of voluntary work such as organising charity dinners and food festivals.

The award, sponsored by Notaro Care Homes, honours an individual who has made a lasting impact on the food and drink community in Somerset.

“The Somerset Life Food & Drink Awards is one of the biggest events in the local calendar and it is hugely anticipated by the region’s food and drink industry all year round,” says Steve, who also chairs the West of England LEP’s rural and food sector group.

“This award was a total surprise and it adds extra credibility to all the work we do as a firm within this vital sector.”
