Training and qualifying at two of the Big Four firms, Andrew spent 13 years predominantly working in international tax for private and corporate clients.
In 1992 Andrew established Shaws and then became national tax managing partner of Begbies Traynor Group Tax (BTG Tax) when it acquired Shaws in 2008. BTG Tax was then acquired by Smith & Williamson in 2011.
Andrew specialises in advising high-net-worth individuals on international tax planning and structuring their finances in a tax-efficient manner.

- Acted on behalf of the taxpayers whose appeal was upheld in the well-known case of Jocelyn and Evelyn, concerning players' promotional agreements.
