Helena graduated from Cambridge University in 1996 and started her career at Deutsche Bank. She has been with Smith & Williamson since 1999 and throughout her career has been involved in portfolio management for private clients, trusts and charities.
Helena chairs the Tactical Asset Allocation Group which analyses economic and market data to put together the asset allocation models for the investment department. She also heads up the Fixed Income Collectives Research team and is responsible for monitoring and analysing third party funds in the fixed income sector and producing appropriate recommendations for her colleagues.
She works closely with the financial services and tax departments to help individuals to develop and implement their long-term financial strategy, in the most tax-efficient manner possible.
Helena invests across all asset classes and for many individuals she looks after the whole range of their financial assets, including taxable, ISA, offshore bonds and pension accounts. As well as looking after UK-based clients, she runs a number of offshore portfolios and is familiar with the requirements for non-resident and non-domiciled individuals.
